About Dr. Ruefli
Tammy Ruefli received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in December of 1999. Prior to that, she had studied nutrition and health while serving in the United States Air Force in Germany. While overseas, she completed a ten day fast under the supervision of Dr. Keki Sidwha in England, who further increased her knowledge and desire to pursue a healthier lifestyle.
After graduating and passing all four national boards, she decided to dedicate the greater majority of her time to raising her four year old son as she saw fit. It was during this time, that she felt “the call” to further explore different realms of healing. She became certified in Catalyst, Integrated Energy Therapy, and later, Healing Touch. She became acquainted with the First Ga. Dowser´s Society in Atlanta after consulting with dowser, Les Tenold, who has been a great help and mentor to her throughout the years.
She became a yoga instructor for Aerobic Atlanta and taught classes throughout the metro area for corporations and universities, such as ING and Emory, respectively. Other opportunities arose for her to teach yoga independently and one which lasted six years was at the Smyrna Community Center, in which she still holds strong ties with those class members. It was this particular class who enticed and inspired her to create a video of the yoga choreography that developed over those six years, " A Gift of Yoga".
Dr. Ruefli and her family moved to Seattle, Wa in Feb. 2006 where she took on a chiropractic position with a wellness center. She later discovered and attended a seminar for Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) with Dr. Freddie Ulan and instantly knew she wanted to add this service to her repertoire as a health care and healing arts practitioner. In August of 2007, she completed training in Florida for this method of healthcare.
A couple of years after getting settled back in Georgia, her second son was born "au natural" in February of 2010. Later that year, Dr. Ruefli became certified in Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA). Further nutritional seminars were attended in 2011 with Blood Analysis & Lab-based Nutrition completing that year.
Dr. Ruefli now offers Holistic Chiropractic which incorporates Clinical Nutrition in her new and evolving practice, “Body of Light Healing & Wellness” in Roswell, GA, where she lives with her fiancé, Alex; sons, Julian and Gabriel; and their pets, Sombra, Ernie, and Scooter.
